What is Heroes Holidays?

The Heroes Holiday program supports West Michigan families affected by cancer by providing meaningful gifts and gift cards during the holiday season.

In 2024, we visited eleven families across Ottawa, Kent, Muskegon, and Allegan counties—just days before Christmas—to deliver not only gifts, but also hope, love, and encouragement.

In 2025, Shields of Hope plans to support 17 families who are struggling with cancer and could use some Holiday Cheer. Selected families will receive gifts delivered by the Shields of Hope Team in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
